An Unique Entity Identity is number generated and given from SAM, System Award Management. In order to obtain this number you must be registered with SAM.

An expired or inactive SAM.gov registration means you will no longer receive any payments from grants or contracts until it is active again. To reactivate, you have two options:

The assignment of CAGE Codes is managed by the Defense Logistics Agency of the US military (dla.mil).
