What type of businesses are eligible for HUBZone?

The type of businesses that are eligible for set-aside certifications depend on a number of factors. You must be registered in SAM and you must meet the SBA Small Business Size standards. Additionally, there are requirements to obtaining a HUBZone Certification, such as:

    • Principle office must be located in a HUBZone
    • 35% of all FTE must reside in a HUBZone
    • Person applying must be a U.S. citizen
    • Must meet SBA Size Standards
    • Have an ACTIVE and compliant SAM Registration

Is there a tool to look up my UEI?

UEI Lookup Tool

Your UEI is viewable on your entity’s registration record in SAM.gov. You can also use the tool by following the steps below:

  • Navigate to the top of the page and select “Check SAM & UEI Status” in red
  • Enter your company’s name, UEI or CAGE code (if known) to locate the registration
  • Allow the page to refresh and a quick summary of your SAM Registration will load including your SAM Expiration, UEI, CAGE Code, POCs, NAICS Codes, etc.
