How to check the status of my entity registration?

  1. Login to SAM.gov (Registration Status is not available without login).
  2. From your workspace, select Home from the menu, then select “Check Registration Status” on the homepage. The same “Check Registration Status” is also located on the Entity Registration landing page.
  3. From the check entity registration status you can enter a public entity’s Unique Entity Identifier, CAGE code, or EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) Identifier.
  4. The status provides a quick summary for an entity, displaying the progress of that entity’s most recent record. It will also display what steps remain until it is completed. The steps required are determined based on the purpose of registration.
  5. To get the full entity details with reps and certs or any exclusions or to see non-public entitles, you will need to use main search.

Does my SAM application need to be renewed?

The SAM application is valid for TWELVE months after the process and registration is complete, so you would need to renew your registration every year. You can check your entities SAM status below!

How do I check if my company is a legal entity?

If you would like to find out if a company is a legal entity, navigate to the Secretary of State webpage of the state of which the business was registered.

How do I make my Sam registration active?

  1. Go to www.sam.gov.
  2. Enter your login credentials.
  3. Click on “Register/Update Entity.”
  4. Click on “Complete Registrations.” (Use “Incomplete Registrations” if your registration is incomplete.)

How do you check if an entity is registered with SAM?

To see if your entity is registered with SAM, you can click on the button below which will direct you to our SAM Status Check page. Input either your UEI, CAGE Code, or company name. You can also go to www.sam.gov, create a SAM user account, and search for entity and then entity status.

What happens if my SAM Registration expires?

Until you renew your SAM profile and it’s approved and reinstated as active, all payments from existing federal contracts will cease, and this can seriously affect your business. In general, we recommend that you handle SAM renewal a couple of months before your SAM profile expires. Check below when your SAM Registration expires!

How do I know if I am registered in SAM?

To know if you are registered in SAM, follow the steps below:

  1. At the top of this page, select the red button that says “Check SAM Status & Details”
  2. Input your company’s name, UEI, or CAGE code, and submit.
  3. A summary of your registration will load including stuff from
    • POC’s
    • Expiration Date/Status
    • NAICS Codes
    • and more

How often do you have to register for SAM?

To maintain an active registration, it is essential to renew it every 365 days. During the renewal process, you can also make updates to your registration if needed. If you have already completed the registration, you already possess a Unique Entity ID. Stay updated on the status of your registration and ensure compliance with timely renewals and necessary updates.

How do I update my SAM.gov information?

How to Update SAM.gov Information

To update your SAM.gov account profile (such as name or number), simply sign in to your SAM.gov user account at https://www.sam.gov. Need assistance? Contact the Federal Service Desk toll-free at 866-606-8220 or internationally at 334-206-7828. The only part of your profile you CANNOT change, unfortunately, is the email associated with the account.

How do I know when my SAM registration expires?

When Does My SAM Registration Expire

To determine the expiration date of your SAM registration, you can follow these steps below:

  1. Navigate to the top of this page and click on the red button titled “Check SAM Expiration Now
  2. Enter your UEI, CAGE Code or Company Name and click ‘Check SAM Status Now’
  3. Results displayed include Expiration Date, Legal Business Name, Legal & Mailing Addresses, UEI, CAGE Code, SAM Status, Purpose of Registration, PSC Codes, NAICS Codes, Business Types, Electronic POC and Government POC
  4. Click on ‘Renew Registration Now‘ if expired or ready to proceed with annual renewal
