The first step in receiving your Woman-Owned Small Business certification is to have an active SAM Registration with SAM.gov. Next, you will want to find out your eligibility. Follow these steps below:

  • Visit www.usbri.us 
  • Under “Small Business Certifications” select “Woman-Owned Small Business Certification (WOSB/EDWOSB) Eligibilty
  • Read through the webpage to familiarize yourself with the benefits and qualifications on receiving an WOSB Certification
  • At the bottom, you can fill out the WOSB Eligibility Questionnaire and see if you meet the qualifications
  • If you meet the qualifications and would like to be contacted, a USBRI Certified Registration Specialist will reach out to you within 24 hours.

How to qualify for a Small Business Certification?

To know if your business qualifies for a Small Business Certification, follow the steps bellow:

  • Navigate to www.usbri.us
  • Under the “Small Business Certifications” section, select “Small Business Certification Eligibility Calculator”
  • One the right side of the page directly under “NAICS Code Look-Up Tool” there is a “Small Business Calculator”
  • Input the information it asks for such as NAICS Code, average annual gross revenue over the past three years, and number of FTE (full-time employees)
  • Once you hit “Check Small Business Eligibility Now”, let the page refresh
  • Scroll down and there will be your results at the bottom of the page (either a green check mark or a red “X”)

How do I identify a HUBZone?

To identify if your company is located in a HUBZone, follow the steps below:

  • Navigate to www.usbri.us
  • Under the “Small Business Certifications” section, select “HUBZone Certification  & Eligibility Map”
  • Scroll down until you find “HUBZone Map Eligibility Check
  • You can do this as many times as you need to find out if you are eligible for a HUBZone Certification
