How long will the new HUBZone Map be active?

According to SBA, there will be no updates on the map until July 2028. The five-year map cycle enables small businesses to plan and invest their HUBZone communities without fear that their designation may change from one year to the next. However, some areas will cycle off before 20228 such as HUBZones that are newly designated as a “Redesignated Area” will expire on July 1, 2026. According to SBA, a HUBZone is a distressed areas across the U.S. and its territories that are designated based on economic and population data from the Census Bureau. The HUBZone Map is rezoned or “updated” every 5 years, with the most recent update being July 2023.

Where is the HUBZone Help Desk number?

The federal government’s HUBZone Help Desk is only available on Tuesday & Thursdays from 2pm-3pm EST. This is the only phone number provided for HUBZone Certification assistance by the government. It is not a normal help desk if you will. The phone number is 1-208-391-5817 and they provide an ID to login to the call itself. It is more of 1 hour session of people talking.
