How do you check if a company is SAM registered?

Check if Company has a SAM Registration

To verify if a business is SAM registered, follow the steps below:

    • Visit www.USBRI.us
      • Alternatively, at the top of this page, select “Check SAM & UEI Status” in red.
    • Input your company’s legal business name, CAGE code, or UEI number
    • Solve the security question
    • Allow the page to generate a brief summary of your SAM Registration (if there is one) which will include:
      • Expiration Date
      • NAICS Code
      • PSC Codes
      • POC’s
      • and more

Can I Register in SAM.gov?

Yes, a sole proprietor can register in SAM.gov (System for Award Management). SAM.gov is an official website of the U.S. government that consolidates several federal procurement systems. It is designed to streamline the process of both receiving and awarding federal contracts and grants. Identifying documentation will need to be provided before and during the registration process. Once processed and accepted, sole proprietors will be able to be represented in SAM.gov to received awards, contracts, and/or grants.

How long is SAM certification good for?

The SAM Certification (more commonly known as the registration) is only good for 12 months after the activation date and must be renewed annually.
