To find your CAGE Code Status (aka SAM Registration Expiration) follow the steps below:

• • At the top of this page, select “Check SAM & UEI Status” in red
  • Input your company’s legal business name or UEI
  • Answer the security question and select “Check SAM Status NOW”
  • Allow the page to generate a brief summary that will include
    • SAM Expiration Date
    • CAGE Code
    • UEI

The process to get a CAGE Code can be  tedious and time consuming. You must submit a SAM Registration for it to enter IRS and CAGE/DLA validation. There are a couple of ways to go about this:

• • Doing the process on your own using online resources (burden of time 2-3 months).
  • Use a firm such as USBRI to help facilitate the process for you (4-6 weeks).

Yes. CAGE Codes are public information available on websites such as cage.dla.mil, sam.gov, and USBRI.us. To use the SAM Status Lookup tool, follow the steps below:

After a CAGE Code is issued, it will not be changed unless a SAM Registration is deactivated and a new one is started. While CAGE Codes do not expire necessarily, if a SAM Registration has been INACTIVE for 5 or more years then the CAGE Code is no longer valid. To find your CAGE Code, follow these steps below:

A SAM Number could be referring to either a UEI (Unique Entity Identifier) or a CAGE Code. The UEI is a SAM issued number while the CAGE codes are issued by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). If you are unsure of what your UEI or CAGE code is, follow the steps below:
