The way for you company to have received a DUNS number prior to 2022 (when it was phased out and became UEI) would have been to  register in SAM. If you are unsure if you have a SAM Registration, follow the steps below:

    • At the top of this page, select “Check SAM & UEI Status”
    • Input your company’s legal business name or CAGE code
    • Complete the security question
    • Select “Check SAM Status NOW”
    • Allow the page to generate a brief summary of your registration which will include:
      • UEI
      • CAGE Code
      • Expiration Date
      • PSC, FSC, and NAICS Codes
      • and more

If your SAM Registration is set to expire in 60 days, begin the renewal process NOW. The SAM Registration processes can be tedious and time consuming as new procedures have been implemented in the last couple of years.
