1. At the top of this page, select the red button that says “Check SAM Status & Details”
2. Input your company’s legal business name or CAGE code and complete the question.
3. Hit the blue button that says “Check SAM Status NOW”.
4. After the page reloads, you will see a summary of your SAM Registration that will include:
  - POC’s
  - NAICS Codes
  - UEI Number
  - and more

Steps to Complete SAM.gov Registration

If you are having trouble registering in SAM.gov, follow the steps below:

1. To start the SAM Registration, access to the old registration itself is necessary. If no one has access, a notarize letter will need to be prepared.
2. After access is granted, update the SAM Registration with relevant and recent information.
3. After the registration is complete, it will go through IRS and CAGE/DLA validation.
4. Once active, it must be renewed every year* to continue with any active federal contracts or grants.

*If it goes inactive, all payments will cease until it is activated again.

How do I know I have access to my SAM.gov Registration?

To know if you have access to your SAM.gov registration, follow the steps below:

1. Login to SAM.gov with username and password.
2. Upon login, the ‘Workspace’ page will load.
  - If the ‘Workspace page did NOT load, to the top right of the page next to the ‘Sign Out’ option should be ‘Workspace’
3. Scroll until you see the ‘Entity Information’ section.
4. If all areas under ‘Entity Information’ say ‘0’, then you do not have access to the registration.
5. If an area (i.e. Active, Inactive, Pending, or Work in Progress) has a number greater than ‘0’, you may have access to the registration.
  - To check, just click on the number and it will generate a list of the registrations you have access to.
