Can I get certified as a small business without a SAM Registration?

No. In order to obtain any Small Business Certification like WOSB, VOSB, or HUBZone, you must have an active registration in SAM.gov. If you have a SAM Registration and need to check the status, follow the steps below:

1. 1. Navigate to the top of this page and select the “Check SAM Expiration Now” button in red
   2. Input your company’s Legal Business Name, UEI, or CAGE code
   3. After the page loads again, you are able to see a summary of the SAM Registration which will include:
      • • NAICS codes
        • Expiration Date
        • POC’s
        • and more
