How to Continue SAM Registration

To continue a SAM Registration you must log into SAM and as long as you have access to the registration you will be able to renew. If you do not have access, you will need to gain access in order to update via a new procedure implemented by SAM in 2022.

Edit SAM.gov Registration

How to know if my SAM Registration Active

To check if your SAM Registration is active, use the tool by following the steps below:

• • At the top of this page, select “Check SAM & UEI Status” in red
  • Enter your company’s name, UEI, or CAGE Code
  • Allow the page to refresh and generate a brief summary of your SAM Registration that will include
    • Expiration Date
    • NAICS Codes
    • POC’s
    • and more

Do I Need to Renew my SAM Registration?

In order to keep any contracts or grants with the federal government, you need to renew your SAM Registration annually. Keeping your registration active and renewed annual ensures you gain the benefits of federal contracts and grants. USBRI recommends beginning the renewal process at least SIXTY DAYS before the set expiration to avoid complications and a lapse of the registration itself.
