How to get a SAM.gov number?

To get a SAM.gov number (UEI and CAGE Code) you must complete the SAM Entity Validation process and submit the registration for review to IRS and CAGE.

SAM.gov approval can take anywhere from 8-10 weeks if done on your own. The process is tedious and time consuming as SAM is constantly changing their procedures.
