Every company that is looking to bid, win, or obtain federal contracts or grants MUST be registered in the System for Award Management. One of the requirements when doing the registration is filling in what your entity’s primary NAICS code is. The NAICS code is essential for prime contracts so the can easily identify the type of service your business provides. In addition, certain contracts/grants will only be awarded to companies that have a specific NAICS Code.
